All materials used, as well as finished products are subject to all aspects of quality control by a dedicated team headed by an industrial pharmacist. Quality and security of surgical sutures are thus assured and guaranteed.

Exports to 60 different countries all over the world constitute approximately 80% of the turnover of SMI. This performance has been recognised by the "Royal Export Award 2000" of the BFTB (Belgian Foreign Trade Board).
